More About This Tour
Tour Details
The Ashtavinayak yatra is one of Maharashtra's most cherished pilgrimages – darshan at the eight swayambhu (self-manifested) Ganpati temples spread across Pune, Raigad and Ahmednagar districts. Our 2 Night, 3 Day Ashtavinayak Darshan from Mumbai is planned so that families and senior citizens can complete all eight temples without rushing: a private AC cab, a driver who knows the temple routes well, and two comfortable nights in a 3-star hotel in Pune.
Your first day takes you out of Mumbai towards the Konkan side, for darshan of Varad Vinayak at Mahad and Ballaleshwar at Pali – the only Ashtavinayak named after a devotee. You then cross the ghats to Mahaganpati at Ranjangaon and check in at Pune for the night. Day two is a gentle circuit of three temples close to Pune: Chintamani at Theur, Siddhivinayak at Siddhatek on the banks of the Bhima, and Moreshwar at Morgaon, traditionally the first temple of the yatra. On the final day you visit Vighneshwar at Ozar and Girijatmaj at Lenyadri, a temple set inside ancient hillside caves, before the drive home to Mumbai. If time permits, we also stop at Khandoba Temple in Jejuri and at Prati Balaji.
