Kerala Delight Munnar Thekkady and Alleppey Houseboat Tour Package 4N/5D

Day 1: Arrival at Kochi - Transfer to Munnar (approx. 130 km / 4.5 hrs). Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, you'll be met by our representative/driver and driven to Munnar, a hill station set at 5,000-8,000 ft in the Western Ghats, known for its tea plantations and cool, spice-scented air. En route, visit Cheeyapara and Valara Waterfalls and a spice garden. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

Day 2: Munnar sightseeing. After breakfast, a full day covering Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake (boating available), Eco Point and a drive through Munnar's tea plantations. Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, is highly recommended (closed roughly February to early April for the calving season - Rose Garden and Hydel Park are visited instead on those dates). Optional activities - tea factory visits, jeep rides, elephant rides - can be added locally. Return to your hotel.

Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady (approx. 110 km / 3 hrs 15 mins). Thekkady, Kerala's spice bag, offers mountain walks and trekking trails. Optional activities include a 2-hour boat ride on Periyar Lake through the Periyar Tiger Reserve (spot elephants, bison, sambar and deer along the shore), a spice plantation visit (cardamom, pepper, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg), a Kathakali and Kalaripayattu show, and a traditional Kerala Ayurvedic massage. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Alleppey (165 km / 3 hrs 30 mins). An enchanting cruise across Kerala's backwaters aboard a traditional Kerala houseboat - check in by noon and enjoy the serene backwaters with all meals served onboard (lunch, dinner, evening tea with snacks and breakfast the next morning). Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 5: Transfer from Alleppey to Kochi. After breakfast, check out and depending on your flight/train time, you'll be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
